Comb Over with Short Hair

Comb over hairstyle, also known as the side part hairstyle, is probably the most famous hairstyle for men. This hairstyle rose to its popularity during the golden age of Hollywood in the 50’s and 60’s and has been a universally famous hairstyle since then. The reason this style is so popular is because it is easy to cut and style and even easier to carry. It is a low maintenance hairstyle that suits almost all face cuts and personalities. It is a cut that suits men of all ages and is a tremendously versatile haircut that can be customized to suit your personal style.

How long does your hair have to be for a comb over fade?

While the classic comb over is cut differently, the modern comb over is combined with a fade cut to make it more relevant and chic for the modern man. The fade cut adds a layer of edge to this otherwise classic hairstyle and makes it more appealing to younger men. As with all fade cuts, the comb over fade requires longer hair at the top and front of the head and shorter hair on the sides and the bottom.

While the hair on the sides and back of your head may vary in length, you can’t do a comb over hairstyle with short hair at the top of your head. You can check to see if your hair is the right length by styling it in a quiff. If your hair is long enough for a quiff it is the perfect length for a comb over.
